Delete your GistUp account
Delete it in the app
- Open GistUp and go to Settings.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Enter your phone number to confirm, then tap Delete my account.
What is deleted
- Your phone number, name and username.
- Your encryption keys on our servers, and any messages still waiting for you.
- Your group memberships and your blocks.
- Your chat backup.
- All GistUp messages and media on your phone.
This happens straight away. Sealed photos and voice notes you sent are deleted automatically within 30 days of sending. Messages you already sent stay on the phones of the people you sent them to.
What we keep
Reports other people made about your account are kept, without your account details, while needed for safety and legal reasons.
No access to the app?
If you can no longer use the app, email [support email] from any address with the phone number of the account. We will confirm it is yours by SMS before deleting it, within 30 days.
